Tom was an excellent mentor to many young athletic administrators and coaches that are still passing on his leadership style today. He was a great colleague to work with and a better friend.” Another colleague stated, “I was proud to work next to him, learn from him and would tell you that if I was starting a school from the basement up, I would choose Tom in the first round, because he would be the cornerstone of our foundation, standing for all that is good
in our business and all that is good for students and parents.”
Tom Gillhouse’s dedication and commitment to the athletic programs he served and his contributions to the IHSA, IADA and NIAAA ensured his selection as a member of the IADA Hall of Fame.
